Do you offer private events?

Yes! Here are the types of events we are able to host at Sturdy Shelter Brewing! We ask that you please fill out this form, acknowledging the terms and conditions for having your event here. We would love to have you!

Do you offer food?

View our calendar to see when our Food Trucks will be available. You may pick up food to go and bring it to the brewery. Here are a few recommendations! We also offer snacks for purchase at the bar, including Bavarian soft pretzels, Coleen’s Breadsticks, and chips & salsa.

Do you have anything other than beer?

Yes! We offer cider, red & white wine. We also have N/A beer, craft sodas, soft drinks & cold brew coffee.

Can I take beer home with me?

Yes, we have 32oz To-Go Crowlers you may purchase with your beer on tap of choice. Or, you can purchase crowlers "to go" online ahead of time to pick up at the brewery. Please also check out our Growler Program! You can receive a free monthly 64oz Growler fill, among other perks.

Can I bring in my own Growler to fill?

Yes, as long as it is clean and able to be sealed.

​

Are you dog friendly?

We love our pups, but unfortunately we can’t have them inside the taproom.

Are you family friendly?

Absolutely! Please bring the whole family. We only ask that children stay close to their caregivers. We have thoughtfully set up our space to accommodate your littles. We offer highchairs, a changing table, games, and puzzles for children. Safety is our priority, and we need your help! Our space can be a very tempting place for running, climbing, and swinging on the rails. A large number of guests are here without children and are also looking to enjoy our space as well. As a brewery with patrons and servers carrying glassware filled with beer, parents need to be sure to keep children at their tables in order for everyone to stay safe and enjoy their experience. Please walk your children to the water station, games, and bathrooms, and there is absolutely no playing on the stairs. We understand that sometimes kids get away from you, so our staff will kindly remind you to stay together. Thank you in advance for your help!

Do you have an outside space?

We currently don’t have an outside space, but we hope to offer outside river view decks in 2024!

Do you offer bike parking?

We are located along the Fox River trail, we have plenty of space to lock up bikes, please stop and enjoy a refreshing beer!

How can I partner with Sturdy Shelter Brewing to help the community?

We at Sturdy Shelter Brewing are a community brewery, and as a part of our mission, we are committed to helping our friends and neighbors during difficult times. One of the ways we do this is by stocking a small community food pantry on the northside of our building. If you would like more information, click here to view the Pantry Information and Etiquette.

Can you host my non-profit organization?

We love being a community space where people from all backgrounds can visit and share in each other’s company. We do host non-profit groups. If you would like to host a meeting with your group, we ask that you please fill out this request form, and read through our mission guidelines and email it to: donations@sturdyshelterbrewing.com!

Can you donate to my non-profit organization?

If you are looking to partner with Sturdy Shelter Brewing for your organization, we ask that you ensure you are directly mission-aligned with us and that your organization directly impacts those vulnerable in our community: the unhoused, unsafe or food insecure in Batavia and Kane County. What forms of payment do you accept?

We accept credit card and contactless payment. We do not accept cash.

Do you offer tours of the brewery?

We do not offer regularly scheduled tours of the brewery. However, if you have a group coming to the brewery and would like to schedule a tour, we will do our best to accommodate your group. Please include your request in the comment section of the event form.
